Christopher served in AmeriCorps and since 2012 has been an active member of the United Way PRIDE Council, advocating for the creation and sustainment of Gay-Straight Alliances (GSAs) in public middle and high schools across Delaware. Christopher volunteers with The Village, a community of LGBTQ+ youth, adults, and their allies, dedicated to empowering and supporting members of all ages, serving on the Village Task Force which is planning a community center for LGBTQ+ youth and adults. Christopher was fortunate enough to be supported by family, friends, and teachers when he came out as a teenager and has paid this forward, by encouraging others to live authentically.
