One in a Million Award recipient: Donna Bennett

Where she’s multiplying good: Newark, DE

How she’s multiplying good: She is One in a Million. Donna Bennett is the Nurse Manager and Coordinator of Health Services at Chimes Delaware, one of the largest providers in Delaware of community services for adults with intellectual, autism, and co-occurring disabilities. While Donna is always dedicated to her patients, especially those without family nearby, Donna has worked countless hours during the COVID-19 crisis to ensure that her patients receive seamless health care services. As soon as the state went into shut-down, Donna was able to get Chimes on the list for masks from a group of sewers in Delaware called Help for Healthcare Workers. Chimes received enough masks to give every client and direct care staff in the group homes throughout Delaware, a cotton face mask. Chimes received close to 800 masks in all.

Donna gives much credit to her amazing team of nurses who along with her have been working 24/7 throughout the pandemic to make sure their clients receive the medical care they need and the medications that they require to stay healthy. It has definitely been a team effort!
