One in a Million Award recipient: Jim Berman
Where he’s multiplying good: Wilmington, Delaware
How he’s multiplying good: He is One in a Million. Jim Berman is an Executive Chef with Sodexo, Freelance Writer, Chef Presenter and Career Cook but he is also someone I have know who always gives back to his community. When COVID-19 shut down his site at the Chase Center he jumped into action volunteering his time cooking for World Central Kitchen in Washington, DC. Over the course of this pandemic Jim would drive down to DC and join all the other volunteer chefs making meals for the community at the Nationals' Stadium. Jim says it has been an inspiring, tiring and meaningful learning experience sharing his skills for the benefit of others. To date he and all the volunteers have pushed out 10,000+ meals a day during COVID-19. After weeks of cooking now Jim has taken over purchases for the Washington Nationals' relief site. The numbers, the volume and the manpower of this is HUGE. Thanks Jim for all you are doing as part of this massive relief effort.
