One in a Million Award recipient: La Esperanza

Where they are multiplying good: Georgetown, DE

How they are multiplying good: Founded in 1996, La Esperanza's mission is to integrate Latino individuals and their families into the community through advocacy, education, and support services. They provide assistance with immigration, victims' services, and family and individual empowerment programs. In response to COVID-19, La Esperanza partnered with First State Community Action Agency to bring food and financial relief to those in the Latino community who did not have transportation to the large-scale food distribution events in the county. Dozens of families have received food, hygiene kits, and household items, and La Esperanza continues to distribute food weekly.
