LaDaye Johnson knows that in order to do well, sometimes people need a little help. For the last decade, the Wilmington, Delaware, native has not only helped but inspired others to help those around them. Having grown up in Wilmington, Johnson now uses his experiences going through many rough patches to help relate to kids facing similar issues. Shot at 14, Johnson credits the older men in the neighborhood who pushed him to do better and become a better man. Now, he is trying to be one of those figures in the community and holds giveaways in Wilmington. This past year, he gave out about 800 backpacks to kids, between 20 and 30 laptops, almost 900 turkeys for Thanksgiving, and 15,000 toys.
