Where they are multiplying good: Wilmington, DE
How they are multiplying good: The Rotary Club of Wilmington in partnership with the Food Bank of DE, the Latin American Community Center, REACH Riverside and the Cristina Cultural Arts Center provided food to hundreds of families each week in New Castle County during the COVID-19 shut down. They started with 50 packs of food each week and that number quickly rose and at one point they were distributing 150 packs a week. A group of Rotarians helped with the distribution each week. in addition to working to help the families with food security, four Rotarians volunteered to read to young children in a virtual program with REACH Riverside. With more than 180 members, the Rotary Club of Wilmington is an inclusive diverse hands on community service organization committed to making Wilmington a better place and this is just one of the service they have done for the community.
